You may have heard us say it a million times through the years, but we are always in awe of how God orchestrates people’s lives. He’s always moving pieces together to bring about the most glory for Himself and the most good for those involved!
As you know, we said goodbye to Sam a couple months back. And soon after, we said goodbye to Selah as she left for college. She was such a big help with office work. While we were excited for both of them to continue the path God had called them to, they both left voids in the load we carry at Whisper Mountain!
But God knew all about it and met our need above and beyond, per His usual! Watch this video to see just how He provided!
We are pretty thrilled with God’s provision. And continue to give Him the glory for all He is doing in and through Whisper Mountain Camp!
Thanks, Dave and Nancy! You inspire and relieve! We are thankful for your friendship and service. May God heap blessing on you both as you continue to follow Him!
We first got to know Sam Wammock when she was a camper in 2011 and then as she returned for years until joining our Summer Staff team in 2016. (see these posts: 2016, 2017) Her story continued as she joined Full Time Staff last year (2019).
Today she is sharing with you how her story continues! Watch the video to see a quick peek of her through the years and hear what she has to say!
We love Sam’s heart for the Lord, how well she leads, her strong work ethic and her fun-lovin’ ways!
She tends to leave a mark wherever she goes. We know she will continue to do so as the Lord continues to lead and make Himself known through her.
We love you Sam! Thank you for your years spent Proclaiming Christ with us!
All kinds of people come to Whisper Mountain from all kinds of places and backgrounds. Their stories are unique and interesting and ordinarily beautiful. Being on staff, we get to see glimpses into the work God is in the midst of remaining faithful to complete. Sometimes it’s messy, frustrating, or impossible, but all that imperfect leads to the redeeming perfection of Christ.
As part of our celebration of 10 years of ministry through Whisper Mountain, we want to share some of the stories of the people who come through our gates. The hope is to help you see how God is encountering people in personal ways so they can know Him and make Him known. This God of ours — there’s none like Him! His name is worth proclaiming!
The video below is a quick picture of God graciously orchestrating our lives so we can have the opportunity to choose Him. He has gone and continues to go to great lengths to rescue us and build a relationship with us! People, if you don’t get excited about being loved like this, come to Whisper Mountain so we can help you encounter Him!
One of the biggest perks of camp ministry is getting to experience turning points in people’s faith journey and pieces of the story God is writing in their lives. With each glimpse of the story, we are always brought to the same conclusion: God’s amazing love and personal pursuit of people astounds us. He holds nothing back to personally bring people to the place of knowing Him and walking them to the place of making Him known.
Ramsey Propp has been a part of our Full-Time Staff for over five years. Watch this video to hear a brief telling of his story and the next chapter God is leading him toward!
June brought Whisper Mountain a Kitchen Angel! (how lovely of her!!) Some people call this angel April Luettich! You may remember her from last summer. She’d be the one in the above group shot with wings on!
So here’s the scoop on her. She brought her two kids up again for the month to help serve and be general good fun and encouragement to all. She is now en route out west! April’s husband, Wayne, will begin schooling to be a missionary pilot out in Washington this fall. Yeah. Pretty cool! Such a big deal to uproot a family to leave the only place they’ve ever known to enter this thing called the Great Unknown! Yikes! Like all those before them who’ve followed God on such a journey, they are taking each step as it comes. When all the answers aren’t there yet, when people keep asking for them, when uncertainty pounds at the door, surrender is the only fitting place to be. Worshipful surrender…and serving while waiting. Kitchen Angel poured her heart out cooking up some pretty great grub and blessed many because of it! Below is a slideshow documenting some of their moments while at Whisper Mountain! (song: John Waller “While I’m waiting”)
