We've hit the ground running here at Whisper Mountain Youth Camp!
Yesterday, our Whisper Mountain Staff welcomed with great excitement the Breakaway Outreach Group!
For most prisoners' children, summer camp is only a dream. With mom or dad in prison, these kids are at a higher risk for drug abuse, violence, delinquency, and experiencing prison time as well. But it doesn't have to end up that way – together, we can make a difference! (from their website)
This is Breakaway's fifth year with us and each year God has done some exciting things in the hearts of the kids that come! We enjoy pouring God's love out on them as we enjoy the outdoors and as they are given the chance to hear of the hope found in Jesus! We continue to pray that God uses this week to change lives!
